BES 5.0 Officially launched

Over a hundred customers like Linklaters, Reed Smith, Coca Cola and Metro Group have been migrated to the new BES 5.0

Mike Lazaridis mentioned during the Keynote that the BES 5.0 was the most tested BES version ever and that is probably the reason why the software was one year delayed. Needless to say BES 5.0 has been available to several key customers and partners like GPXS for over nine months in advance as part of a rigorous BETA testing program. RIM informed us at WES that to date there were over a hundred customers like Linklaters, Reed Smith, Coca Cola and Metro Group that have been migrated to the new BES 5.0 environment including RIM itself with over 20.000 BlackBerries.

What key improvements does the new BES 5.0 offer you?
