Your BlackBerry handheld does not store files locally in the same way as a networked PC does. With Condor File Explorer on your BlackBerry handheld you can browse, request, email and view files from your enterprise file server. Condor File Explorer enables you to access important information when and where you need it.
Quick and easy navigation
Condor File Explorer connects to the enterprise file server and allows you to view, send or print files instantly, using your BlackBerry handheld. The user interface is similar to the Windows Explorer user interface on the desktop. Condor File Explorer is fully integrated in the BlackBerry menu.
Secure remote access
Condor File Explorer is secure. It uses the MDS feature of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ and inherits the security and reliability of the BlackBerry platform. All data sent from and to the BlackBerry handheld is AES/3DES encrypted. Your firewall security is not affected. Condor File Explorer uses the existing domain username and password as verification to enter a file server.

Administrator control
The connection to the Active Directory lets you access shared network drives from your BlackBerry handheld. When the directory structure is published to the BlackBerry handheld, only the directories with approved file types are visible on the handheld. The administrator can control which files are shown on users' handhelds.
System requirements
- BlackBerry Enterprise Server v4.0 or higher
- BlackBerry handhelds with software version 3.8 or later
- Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 or higher
- Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1
For up to 50 users, Condor File Explorer can be installed on the same server as the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
