Senior Developer / Project Manager

 

The Position

Located in Gent, Belgium you will be joining a small team and will be expected to initiate, and subsequently lead the development of a new software development project for an innovative managed service for mobile devices.

Responsibilities

- Converting high-level requirements into a software design
- Software development
- Project management
- Taking high-level requirements and technology direction from the project leader
- Working with Beta customers
- Possible mentoring and leading of junior developers
- Create software design / architecture
- Build a version 1.0 production system
- Project Manage development activities

Must-Have Requirements

- 3 - 5 years Java(EE) development

Sales Executive - Belgium

 

The Position

The Sales Executive will be working in a fast growing and entrepreneurial environment supporting international customers and operators who are using BlackBerry mobility solutions.

Responsibilities
- Sales acquisition and solicitation in Belgium and Luxemburg direct and through partners
- Sell GPXS’s Managed Services and Professional Services portfolio
- Account management new and existing accounts
- Create customers proposals
- Maintain customers contracts
- Utilize and update daily GPXS’s SalesForce CRM package
- Customer mailings
- Trade shows and industry conferences to promote GPXS
- Build & maintain relationship with RIM Belgium
- Build & maintain relationship with the carriers in Belgium/Luxemburg

Requirements
- Higher education with business focus, courses in sales and marketing
- Multiple years of experience in sales of services (managed and professional services)
preferably in IT services or telecommunications
- Proven track record in sales
- Considerable industry network

Personal/Job Skills
Essential: High powered and enthusiastic sales person, well connected willing to help in growing the Belgium entity and GPXS in general
Personal: Self starter, confident, team player, stress resistant, flexible, self motivator, eager to work with international customers and an international team.
Language: Fluent French and English, other languages are desired

Senior BlackBerry Trainer / Consultant – Belgium



The Position
The Senior Trainer / Consultant will be working in a fast growing and entrepreneurial environment supporting international customers and operators who are using BlackBerry mobility solutions.
The Senior Trainer / Consultant will spend 50% of his/her time teaching.


Responsibilities
- Delivery of BlackBerry Sales Training
- Delivery of BlackBerry Product Training
- Installation of BlackBerry solutions in complex customer environments
- Consultancy assignments (audits, migrations, high availability assessments,
  architectural design, etc)
- Project Management for large enterprise implementations
- Pre-sales support to sales team


Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical position in the area of groupware
  applications and server/database technology
- Knowledgeable in the deployment of MS Exchange, experience in other mail systems like
  Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise are considered a plus
- Windows Server expertise
- Knowledge of system and application development (C++, Java or 4th generation
  equivalent) is considered a plus
- Confident, self-reliant and able to function under pressure
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and planning skills
- Team player
- Willing to travel (up to 75% of his/her time)

Language skills: Dutch, French and English are essential. Spanish and / or German desired.

Technical Consultant – France



The Position
The Technical Consultant will be working in a fast growing and entrepreneurial environment supporting customers and operators who are using BlackBerry and related mobility solutions.


Responsibilities
- Installation of software in complex messaging environments
- Onsite and remote assignments
- Pre-sales support to sales team, customer demonstrations and presentations
- Consultancy to customer (pre-installation assessments and audits)
- Post installation technical training and documentation
- Project Management of large enterprise implementations
- Testing of GPXS products and applications prior to release


Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical support position in the area of groupware
  applications and server/database technology
- Knowledgeable in the deployment of MS Exchange, experience in other mail systems like
  Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise are considered a plus

Technical Support Engineer – Belgium


The Position

As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be assisting our customers in supporting and maintaining their Blackberry infrastructure.
Support is mainly delivered by email and phone.  You will be in contact with System Administrators requiring information about setting up or modifying their Blackberry Enterprise Server architecture.
You will operate as a 2nd/3rd line support provider to a number of international telecom operators and their customers. 
You will be based in Gent and working in a fast growing environment.


General Requirements
The ideal candidate for this vacancy has relevant experience in providing technical customer support in the area of mobile applications, groupware applications and server/database technology. The candidate is willing to provide support on mission critical systems by email and phone. 


Language requirements

The candidate needs good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, French, German and English.  Knowledge of Spanish is considered a valuable asset.


Technical skills

- The Customer Service function requires knowledge in the deployment of MS Exchange.  Knowledge of any other mail systems like Lotus Domino and Novell GroupWise are considered a plus.
- Good knowledge of the Windows Server operating system is a must.
- Good understanding of SQL databases is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of network topology is considered a plus.
