GPXS and Proximus announce Collaborative Agreement - Proximus BlackBerry For SME Solution

GPXS Inc. and Proximus today announced a collaborative agreement launching BlackBerry For SME, a new push email solution for Proximus’ customers. GPXS will host the Proximus BlackBerry For SME solution, which enables SMEs that use a Microsoft server (Microsoft Exchange Server or Microsoft Small Business Server) to enjoy the push email experience without making any additional investments in their IT infrastructure. This fully managed solution enables SME employees to send and receive emails and synchronizes their calendar and address book via their BlackBerry handheld anywhere and at anytime.

Regardless of a company’s size, access to personal email, even when the user is not in the office, is often crucially important to a company. BlackBerry For SME is aimed at companies that have an email server but wish to use a push email solution without investing in a BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ within their own data center. SMEs with a Microsoft Server (Microsoft Exchange Server or a Microsoft Small Business Server) can use the push email solution BlackBerry For SME with the Blackberry Enterprise Server hosted by GPXS.

“We are pleased to work with Proximus in expanding support for its small and medium size customers,” said Jerome Mol, CEO of GPXS. “GPXS is expanding rapidly to complement the superb RIM portfolio and to provide needed BlackBerry support, services, training and applications to all types of mobile professionals using BlackBerry,” he said.

“Proximus selected GPXS’ hosted BlackBerry For SME solution to provide essential functionality to our customers,” said Grégoire Van Cutsem, Head of Business Marketing of Proximus. “In addition to the added BlackBerry functionality, our SME customers do not need to invest in additional hardware and software. And, to simplify their administrative tasks, our customers will receive a consolidated monthly bill from Proximus only, which will include both their GPRS BlackBerry subscription and GPXS BlackBerry connection charges in a more interesting price.
